Modular regulators are usually step type, with a knob that clicks through fixed speeds, and they fit into the same frame as switches and sockets. Will a normal regulator work with a BLDC fan?
Many remote-controlled BLDC fans need the regulator to be bypassed. Some BLDC fans are made to work with a regulator. Check the fan maker's instructions.
Can I dim LED lights?
